Bedford County First Responder

During the mid 90’s Bedford County EMS began its First Responder program in Bell Buckle with only a hand full of responders. Now, nearly 20 years later the Bedford County EMS First Responder program has grown to more than 60 Responders located in the communities of Bell Buckle, Unionville, Wartrace, Flat Creek, Wheel and within the city limits of Shelbyville.

These Responders consist of firefighters, law enforcement and EMS personnel.

Over the next year the program will expand to over 80 Responders with a projection of over 100 in the coming years

With continued growth, First Responders are essential to the rapid response and care of the citizens of Bedford County.
